The simpler the pattern, the easier it is to make and finish sooner. When possible, please prepare a little bag to fit your teddy. These bags can be knitted, crocheted or sewn.
These are samples of teddy faces created by our volunteers. The basic requirements of teddy faces are that they look "happy” and have a great smile!
As our friends in the UK say, “A Great Face Makes All the Difference!”
There are a few guidelines you should follow when making your teddies’ faces.
- Please embroider the face and sew the ears down before stuffing the heads.
- For the safety of the children, please do not attach any extra items such as button eyes or noses. All faces should be knitted directly on the bear. Knit the scarf separately then attach it to the back of the bear.
- Short stitching is the best way to ensure your teddy bear’s face last through the years.
We hope the pictures above will help in designing your special teddy bears.
Your efforts are really appreciated. Thank you on behalf of the children who will receive these Teddies.
